Airline travel is getting alot safer, Yes planes are being pushed to the max For instance Thomsonfly will use there 757’s 17 hours a day, But the planes nowadays are designed to be pushed to the max, and with todays technology this is possible. Airplanes are designed to run for at least 15 hours a day, And maintanace is stricter then ever before. aircraft can have a life span upto 90,000 flying hours, but with good maintenece we can achive 100,000 flyings + more.

Airline travel is not getting safer. The planes are now being pushed into service sooner and with longer intervals of maintenance. The FAA is in the pockets of the airline industry and fail to do their jobs as efficiently as they should. Older planes are pushed into longer flying times and bogus parts are being pirated onto planes. This doesn’t sound safe to me.
