McDonnell Douglas is gay, they have the worst safety records as an aircraft manufacturer. I am not happy that they merged with boeing, which worries me if they merged their faulty aircraft designs too. MD is always falling out of the sky. It is amazing how many MD planes are part of air crash investigation!!

Yes, the ratio of successful flights to crashes is extremely impressive.
The people in Cape Breton, Halifax, and Nfld Canada are the nicest people anywhere. If you come to visit you would want to stay too. But there is much unemployment unfortunatly. 911 showed us these wonderful people when Gander became the landing spot for all those planes.

Why SiverCountdown would they bother? Aeroplane crashes of passenger jets are very very rare.
If they were more common they would allow passengers to carry parachutes, but because terrorism is more of a threat (and thats still rare) they dont allow parachutes.
Would it be worth creating such a complicated and expensive safety mechanism for something which is so unlikely to be needed?
